This gallery is of the works that have been commissioned, donated, sold or given to family. I can create a similar painting or get you a print of it, if you'd like.The paintings are not forced by any means. I wait for the ideas to come to me, so most pour onto the canvas with little effort. Many artists purge themselves of their ideas letting all come out, even the bad. I've had bad paintings, don't get me wrong, but they tend to get painted over and the canvas re-used.
People ask, "Why shoes? Why Chairs?" Well, I come from a pretty humble background where $500 shoes and brand new furniture are luxuries I have yet to afford myself, so I live vicariously through my art, in whimsical world where everything breathes and tells it's own story. The shoes pretty much wear themselves, and I'd dare not actually sit in one of the chairs, unless invited.
My animals are portraits of beings living as animals. Their humor and wit are what make them such wonderful subjects. If only we knew what they were thinking.
